Tostitos BCS National Championship Game Oregon vs. Auburn Auburn's shown resilience throughout the season, while Oregon has had a couple of close calls. After what I saw against Alabama, there's no doubt in my mind that Auburn won't lose to Oregon. Because of Auburn's weak secondary, look for this to be a high scoring game. Allstate Sugar Bowl Arkansas vs. Ohio State Besides the Rose Bowl, this is probably the closest match-up. Ohio St. ranks 4th overall in defense, while Arkansas has one of the best passing attacks in the country behind Mallett. Discover Orange Bowl Virginia Tech vs. Stanford VT has given up 30+ to the 3 current ranked teams they've played, and it shouldn't be problem for Luck and Stanford's high end passing attack. Stanford should find enough defense to stop a team that only puts up 202 yds per game passing because of their ability to stop the run. VT has a tough secondary, but the points allowed to the ranked teams they've played sums it up. Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Oklahoma vs. Connecticut Simly unfavorable ACC vs Big 12 matchup... Connecticut hasn't played a ranked team all season, and still lost 4 games. Oklahoma's 4th ranked passing attack should have no problem putting up points against a defense that doesn't even rank in the top 20 with all the weak teams they play. Rose Bowl Game Wisconsin vs. TCU This one is going to be a close match up, but I have a feeling that Wisconsin will be going in hot, no matter how long the layoff is. Hard to judge this matchup because in all honestly, TCU's stats lie, because of the ease of schedule. It truly should be a great match-up, but I feel that Wisconsin being tested constantly by good teams will give them an advantage. |
